Configuring the EasyARM i.MX287A Board for Development

The EasyARM i.MX287A development kit utilizes a ZLG i.MX287 (ARM9) processor and supports booting from three media types: NAND Flash, TF card, and USB, which are selected via jumper settings.

To disable the root filesystem's write protection, access the U-Boot console and modify the bootargs environment variable. Locate the existing parameter, which typically appears as:

bootargs=gpmi=g console=ttyAM0,115200n8 ubi.mtd=5 root=ubi0:rootfs rootfstype=ubifs ro

Change the ro (read-only) flag to rw (read-write) using the setenv command:

setenv bootargs gpmi=g console=ttyAM0,115200n8 ubi.mtd=5 root=ubi0:rootfs rootfstype=ubifs rw

Then save the environment with saveenv.

The following kernel boot log demonstrates the system's NAND Flash initialization and memory mapping on this board.
