Begin by obtaining the official Fangde OS image (for instance, NFSDesktop-5.0-G220-202310180045-amd64.iso) through the vendor’s download link. After acquiring it, mount the ISO and stage the contents for network booting.
mkdir -p /exports/fangde
mkdir -p /media/isotmp
mount /home/NFSDesktop-5.0-G220-2023101800454.iso /media/isotmp
cp -ar /media/isotmp/* /exports/fangde/
Extract the kernel and initial ramdisk into the TFTP root so the bootloader can load them.
TFTP_ROOT="/srv/tftp"
mkdir -p $TFTP_ROOT/images/fangde
cp /media/isotmp/live/vmlinuz $TFTP_ROOT/images/fangde/
cp /media/isotmp/live/initrd.img $TFTP_ROOT/images/fangde/
umount /media/isotmp
For the network bootstrap program (NBP) on x86 systems, a generic NBP such as the one shipped with Kylin works without modification becuase it shares the same architecture. Place it in the TFTP root and update your DHCP configuration so that clients receive the NBP filename.
Define a GRUB menu that instructs PXE clients how to boot the installer. Adjust the server IP (192.168.10.1 in this example) and NFS path to match your environment.
cat > $TFTP_ROOT/grub/grub.cfg << 'EOF'
set default=autoinstall
set timeout=5
menuentry "Fangde automatic installer" {
echo "Starting Fangde deployment..."
linux /images/fangde/vmlinuz \
boot=live loglevel=0 quiet splash \
ip=dhcp \
netboot=nfs \
nfsroot=192.168.10.1:/exports/fangde \
console=tty \
oem=true automatic-install \
components locales=en_US.UTF-8
initrd /images/fangde/initrd.img
}
EOF
Set up an NFS export so that the root filesystem can be reached during installation.
apt update && apt install -y nfs-kernel-server
echo '/exports/fangde *(rw,sync,no_subtree_check,no_root_squash)' >> /etc/exports
exportfs -ra
When oem=true is present on the kernel command line, the installer runs in hands-free mode with default partitioning and lannguage settings. If you need deeper customisation (e.g., partition layout, package selection),24 further preseed or kickstart-style integration is required because the basic OEM mode does not expose 24those options out of the box.
