Conjugation Rules
Tanoshii desu (is fun) → Tanoshikatta desu (was fun)
For i-adjectives, drop the final i and append katta desu.
Yuumei desu (is famous) → Yuumei deshita (was famous)
For na-adjectives, change the copula desu to its past form deshita.
Animated Conversation
A: Okaerinasai. Nagano wa dou deshita ka?
Welcome back. How was your trip to Nagano?
B: Sugoku tanoshikatta desu.
It was extremely enjoyable.
B: Shashin o takusan torimashita. Sorekara, soba mo tabemashita. Totemo oishikatta desu.
I captured many photos, and also ate soba noodles. They were exceptionally tasty.
A: Sou desu ka. Yokatta desu ne.
Is that so? That is wonderful.
B: Nagano no hito wa totemo shinsetsu deshita.
